How are the results calculated?
Unit discount = unit price × (discount rate ÷ 100), rounded to a halala.
Discounted unit price = original price − unit discount.
Total savings = unit discount × quantity; discounted total = discounted unit price × quantity.
Assumptions and limits
- All amounts are before VAT. The unit discount is rounded first, then amounts are multiplied by quantity; this may differ from a single discount applied to an invoice total.
- This tool calculates the discount’s effect, not the profitability of an offer. Review unit cost and profit margin before adopting a price.
