How are the results calculated?
Unit discount = unit price × (discount rate ÷ 100), rounded to a halala.
Discounted unit price = original price − unit discount.
Total savings = unit discount × quantity; discounted total = discounted unit price × quantity.
Assumptions and limits
- All amounts are before VAT. The unit discount is rounded first, then amounts are multiplied by quantity; this may differ from a single discount applied to an invoice total.

How do I calculate the price after a discount?
Multiply the original price by the discount percentage and divide by 100, then subtract the discount from the price. An SAR 200 item with a 10% discount saves SAR 20 and costs SAR 180 before VAT.
How do I find the discount percentage from two prices?
Divide the difference between the original and reduced prices by the original price, then multiply by 100. A reduction from SAR 200 to SAR 180 is 10%. This calculator takes the percentage as an input to calculate the final price and quantity savings.
How are discounts calculated for multiple items?
The calculator rounds the discount per unit to a halala first, then multiplies the unit discount and discounted price by quantity. Three SAR 200 items at 10% off save SAR 60 and total SAR 540 before VAT.
