Business zakat base estimator

Turn a reviewed zakat base into an estimate and compare a Hijri year with a financial period measured in days.

Enter the figures you want to check

Use the amount after additions, deductions, base limits and the zakat-subject share; do not enter total assets or sales. SAR 0–1,000,000,000; up to two decimal places, without grouping separators.

Choose the business’s confirmed period basis; commencement, cessation and mergers may need separate treatment.

1–730 days. Used only when “Other period” is selected.

Calculations run only in your browser. Values are neither saved nor sent to us.

How are the results calculated?

For a full Hijri year: zakat = zakat base × 2.5%.

For another period: zakat = base × 2.5% × period days ÷ 354; round the monetary result only at the end.

Assumptions and limits

  • This estimator uses a confirmed final base for a business assessed from statutory accounts under the 1445H regulation. Establishing liability, constructing the base and reviewing limits and deductions come first.
  • The displayed period rate is rounded to four decimal places for explanation; the monetary calculation uses the full fraction. Rounding the rate first can produce a different amount.
  • The model excludes estimated assessments and special merger, cessation and liquidation cases. Article 15 treats short commencement and cessation periods differently; confirm the chargeable period before entering its days.
  • This is an arithmetic review estimate, not a zakat return or an automatic liability determination. Values are not sent to ZATCA or the WaliERP team.
